I am pretty beat up right now and it is because we have spring football practice. We don't wear any pads during spring ball so the offensive and defensive lines get more bruises than actual work done. Because we don't wear pads, the technique is really important. It is easy for the receivers, quarterbacks, defensive backs and safetys to work on fundamentals without getting hit, but for us lineman, we need pads to hit people with. It is the only way to get better at the techniques. All that said, it is fun to be out playing football, remembering our very complicated offense and in general being an athelete. This is the last time I will get to play spring football... (unless I go pro...) so it is starting to sink in a little bit.
There are so many things I want to commit to fully this summer... Football, Campus Safety, Church stuff etc... I am also thining about taking a class this summer to lighten my load in the fall and I would love to travel a bit as well. The thing I want to do more than anything though is to spend 3 hours a day or more with Jesus. Play my guitar, write worship music, read the Word, receive from Him... I think that needs to be the main priority. I know that if I devote the time I won't be dissapointed.
Yeah for a short post today!
